For arms, never underestimate the power of good ol’ pushups! I also save up old containers for laundry detergents (you know, these things), fill them with enough water so that I’m comfortable with the weight, and lift them the way I would lift weights at the gym. When I’m at the gym, I definitely use this video as a frame of reference for arm work outs.
As for for your plan, it’s better to alternate days rather than weeks (like the second message you had sent me). Make sure there is always at least a day in between where you can rest. For example, when I used to train with a personal trainer, I would do weight training with him on Tuesdays on Thursdays. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays I would focus on cardio and yoga (to stretch out my sore muscles)! Then I would go to Bodypump class (which focuses on weight training) on Saturday and have a break day on Sunday.
